Once Upon A Bite
Title sequence for a Chinese food documentary series titled Once Upon A Bite. The show takes you on a global exploration of the evolution of food, with a primary focus on Chinese cuisine. It goes beyond the plate and delves into the profound and intimate relationship between people and their food.
Food cannot be separated from the land beneath our feet. The scenery, fragrance, memories of bygone years, all come together into a name, which we call flavor.
Traditional Chinese people like to infuse their concerns and cares into food, packing them into plates and bags, so that their hometowns can be carried to faraway places.
The dishes we cook and the meals we savor,
Are more than just sustenance, they're a flavor
Of our stories, our past, our culture and more,
A reflection of who we are at our core.
